Hello world!

I created Rose Petals and Cream to share my thoughts on wellness, self-improvement, travel, bits of elegance, simple nothings, engaging stories from the web, and book reviews.  I hope these posts appeal to you.

It is 93 degrees here in Southern California as I am writing this. I am sitting here looking at the heat rising off the pavement and wishing I was on a sandy beach somewhere with my toes in the sand, drinking a nice tall glass of lemonade. I was born and raised here in Southern California and this has to be the hottest summer I have ever experienced. Bring on the Fall. Fall is my very favorite time of year, especially   if you are in New England, of course. I experienced Autumn in all its glory during several trips to New England during fall foliage and  I have to say, there is nothing like it. Pumpkins residing on every doorstep; leaves the color of crimson, rust, and gold dancing to the wind’s song as they fall from tall maple trees; smoke escaping tall chimneys — all a part of the beautiful fall season.

Enough fantasizing of places I’d rather be in this moment.  I have put together this blog with you in mind. I hope you enjoy reading its pages and will return often for inspiration, travel ideas, tips for better health, and ways to bring some luxury and elegance into your life.
